Why is meditation important?
Meditation becomes a trend. Most of the successful companies promote meditation to their employees such as Google, Apple, Yahoo, Nike, Deutsch bank…
Why is it so trendy and important?
Meditation means 2 things:
1-“medium” means “center” in Latin, coming back to the center: that is to say, the inner journey to aspire to the inward harmony and YOUnity.
2-“medium” means “channel” as this is a link, a bridge to the outer world: visible and invisible world allowing you to reach the outward harmony and YOUnity.
The meditation is an inner journey allowing you to find the gate of your true nature and thereby represents a springboard to reach the notion of intangible dimension of the Oneness not as a concept, or a theory but as a deep experience.
The meditation is not recent, it is part of our world heritage in most of the old civilizations.
The main advantages are:
We talk about meditation but we should say “meditationS” as they are numerous. It is like saying I practice art, it is so large.
There are the “still meditation” and the “meditation in motion” and beyond of that, we can extend the meditation essentially through the mindfulness to every single second of your day: cleaning the dishes, walking, driving etc. All these tasks become a pretext of meditation.
Among the still meditation the 5 main currents are as following:
The 3 key points are the posture, the breath, and the mind.
The key factors of success are the patience, the regularity and to do it at your own rhythm starting slow 30sec, 1min few weeks then 2min, 3min, and after few months maybe 5-10minutes. At your own pace, like you do not start a marathon straight away. You train yourself and enlarge the distance step by step it is the same principle for meditation. In addition to that trying different types of meditation is important to find the one which matches the most with you and your profiles.
Meditation has a vocation to become a part of your daily life and a part of yourself as a natural physiological need as eating or sleeping. Progressively you will experience it as pleasant as a source of inner and outer harmony.
