Location

It is called “The Island of the gods.” Only the small island of Bali, which is filled with a spiritual atmosphere, could earn such a title. Temples are delicately placed in the midst of rice paddies, on the sides of volcanoes, and near the shorelines. Many Balinese make ritual offerings to the local spirits and gods every day. These bundles of rice and flowers are seen in homes, in businesses, and in the street. The island is treated as a sacred place, and this respect is reciprocated by the spirits who protect and enchant the island.

Resort Overview

Shambali Retreat takes place in a breathtaking environment at the core of nature ideal to oxygen your body your mind and your soul. It is in Ubud which means “medicine”. This is a unique place charged of high energies. The environment is deeply mystical and pure.

The resort sits on the riverbanks of the beautiful Campuhan river in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia. A hidden gem, a heavenly paradise for the Hindu Gods. Located on sacred land on the banks of the Camphuan River, the owners passionately recreated this heavenly paradise in Ubud for all to share. The powerful energy circulating in this tropical resort supports guests on journeys of well-being and transformation. The resort is a comfortable 90 minutes drive from Bali Ngurah Rai International Airport and just a 5-minute walk to the center of Ubud.

Resort itself sits on what was once land belonging to the King of Ubud, it is regarded as a spiritual location, powerful energetically, the Campuhan River we sit next to is called ‘the love river’ as 2 rivers intersect some 800 meters upriver, and the royal temple sits at that junction. The landscape and surrounding forest have been maintained and sustained in its original state, therefore very little of the ecosystem and ecology was disrupted when the resort was built and has flourished since. It looks like a temple where the human hand and mother earth are shaking hands and embracing each other: both of them being narrowly entangled harmoniously. Provided with an excellent comfort all is done for you to be reconnected to Mother Nature, to the different elements, to your Higher Self that is to say your true nature.
